Introducing YOUR monthly money plan

Introducing YOUR monthly money plan

How does the word "budget" make you feel? I don't know about you but when I hear budget I already feel like I'm doing it wrong. Like I missed the mark. Like an unexpected expense ruined my plan... again. I just don't like sticking to a budget! It makes me feel like a caged animal!

Luckily, there are other ways to hit your money goals out of the park.

Make a monthly money plan

Every month I calculate the amount of money I know will come in to my bank account, and the amount of money that will leave my bank account.

First I add up pay cheques, side hustle income, expense claim income and any refunds. Then I add up my bill payments and any commitments I've made for the month. At this point, I roughly know how much extra I have to work with. Next, I subtract my savings goal so that I know how much I can spend.

I monitor my spending throughout the month to make sure I don't go over. That my friend, is my bad ass budget, or as I call it my monthly money plan.

Easy peasy.
