Julie goes to India, July 2019: A reader case study, written in real time
Julie is smart as a whip, full of passion and an early adapter of The Money Edit. She has a sparkling smile, great style and a wicked sense of humour. Her big goal is to quit her job and travel the world by July 2019. She dreams of trekking in South America, exploring India and hiking through Sri Lanka.
When I learned about Julie's travel goal, I reached out to see if she wants to work on it together. I explained that all I need from her is courage and commitment. I need her to show up and be radically transparent. In exchange, I will make sure she has the tools to bring her dreams to life. We'll be taking a selfie at the airport in July 2019, so she better get ready for a wild ride!
Over the next year, we'll work through Julie's debt, stock her savings account and make sure she has everything she needs to make her dreams, reality. We're going to get nitty gritty with the details and share REAL numbers. Follow along as I share Julie's story in real time.
Yes, Julie is scared because her goal is huge. She's wanted this for 5 years (at least!). Now, her progress will be published online for the world to see. But you know what they say? If your goals aren't equal parts exciting and terrifying, they're just not big enough.
Lucky for us, The Money Edit readers are one big accountability cheer squad! For all the goal getters out there, we're rooting for you and we know you can do it!
