June’s book of the Month: To Sell is Human
June’s book of the month is Dan Pink’s “To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others”.
Dan argues that virtually every job - from introverted engineer to stay at home mom to CEO, is a sales job. He talks about what it takes to make money in this economy - and how to make the most of this new reality.
Traditionally “stable” salary jobs are being automated and outsourced. Non-traditional work is offering the flexibility and freedom that people crave.
I would argue that as companies catch on to this new way of working, we’ll see more 4 day work weeks and flex time.
I’m half way through and finding it interesting… but I wish I got it on audible instead. I tend to find business books a little dry. Tell me I’m not the only one!
Here’s what I want to know:
Are you in sales?
How do you relate this concept to your life?
Do you have a side hustle? If so, are you willing to be interviewed & featured right here on themoneyedit.org?
